Log analyzer

Paste a Proton log, terminal output or dmesg and we'll look for known anti-cheat and Linux gaming failures, then explain what they mean and how to fix them.

Everything runs in your browser. Your log is never uploaded.

How to get a log

1. Proton log: Steam launch option

PROTON_LOG=1 %command%

Set this in the game's Launch Options, run the game, then open ~/steam-<appid>.log in your home folder.

2. Kernel log: run right after the failure

sudo dmesg | tail -n 300

Prints the last 300 kernel messages. Paste the output here to check for out-of-memory kills, segfaults, AppArmor denials and Secure Boot lockdown.

Easy Anti-Cheat also writes its own log inside the game's compatdata folder: pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/EasyAntiCheat/gamelauncher.log.

Diagnoses are based on known error patterns and are suggestions, not certainties. Confidence is shown on each finding.
